How the workshop works

Each workshop combines short talks, guided shooting, practical exercises, and recap sessions. We work in real situations, in real light, and build from observation into action. The teaching is practical, not theoretical for its own sake. The aim is to help you see more clearly, react more deliberately, and photograph with greater confidence. 

Day 1

We begin with an introduction and an initial conversation about goals, camera settings, lenses, and how to approach the streets with intention.
From there, we head out to shoot, focusing on composition, light, storytelling, and timing.
We finish the day with a recap so the learning becomes clear and concrete.

Day 2

We start with a morning talk and build on what was learned the day before.
We refine camera handling, sharpen direction, and continue shooting with more purpose and awareness.
The second day is about strengthening your confidence and helping you turn ideas into habits you can repeat in future work. We end with a final recap and review. 

Day 3 (extended workshops only)

The 3-day workshop includes editing and critique.
On this day, we work on workflow in Lightroom or Capture One, including colour and black-and-white editing, lens corrections, and building personal presets to support a more consistent editing process. The goal is not only to shoot better, but also to finish your work with greater clarity and cohesion. 

2-day and 3-day options

2-Day Workshop: Best if you want to improve your shooting, build confidence, deepen your understanding of light, timing, and composition, and know your camera better.
The 2-day format includes guided street sessions, practical coaching during the day, and a free group Zoom critique afterwards. 

3-Day Extended Workshop

Best if you want both the shooting experience and a stronger editing workflow.
This format includes everything in the 2-day workshop, plus editing, critique, workflow development, lens correction, and personal preset building in Lightroom or Capture One.

Practical notes

Please bring clothes suited to the weather, fully charged batteries, and empty memory cards or fresh film. Bring your preferred gear, but be prepared to try (of course, this is a free choice for everyone), simplify and work with one lens for parts of the workshop if that helps your focus. 

You will receive the exact meeting point before the workshop, making it easy to book accommodation nearby. It is described in the info-text too at each workshop, so you know before booking.

Each participant arranges and covers their own travel, stay, and meals. We walk at a pace that suits the group, with breaks during the day. The working language is English.
