GPDR and orders
Information about personal data protection rules according to EU regulations.
Why we collect your personal information (name, email, phone, address) is in order to be able to serve you. We take the protection of your data seriously. Therefore, we only use software and payment gateways from trusted partners like Stripe, which handle the information as necessary according to the law.
Please also read the cancellation policy further down to avoid misunderstandings.
We use your personal data for:
- Sending you updates and advertising only related to the use of the newsletter, you have freely signed up to. You can, of course, cancel the newsletter anytime.
- Updates are sent out to anyone freely signing up for blog updates, and they can unsubscribe at any time.
- Data are collected for signing up your account in association with the payment gateways PayPal and Stripe. This is to be able to handle the order and any contact information needed. The information is automatically deleted a year after the purchase or until a workshop has been held.
- We do not hand this information over to any other third-party companies or advertising companies.
- We do not sell your information to anybody.
- We keep your information only to be able to serve you and to fulfil legal responsibilities. You can have these changed anytime by updating your account at https://bonsai-video.com/min-konto/
- The reason we collect your personal information is to meet our legal obligations to identify customers for VAT and other taxes, as well as other laws, both nationally and in EU countries, and any other obligations in the EU and outside the EU.
- You can read more about the EU data protection rules at https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection_en
Payments & Deposits
The conditions are set up to ensure the workshops are funded and can be arranged.
Deposits (where offered)
- A deposit or partial payment is non‑refundable and available only for selected workshops. (Typically three-day workshops).
- Paying a deposit secures your spot.
Payments & Cancellations
- All payments—deposit, part‑payment, or full payment—are binding once paid.
- If a participant cancels, payments are not refunded, no matter the reason. This is because we commit costs (e.g., travel, accommodation, venues, guides) as soon as bookings are received. Many of these are non-refundable and have to be paid whether the workshop is filled up or not.
- One-time payments and orders can be done right up to the workshop start if places are available.
Final Balance for partial deposit payments
- The final balance for partial deposit payments must be paid no later than 60 days (two months) before the workshop start date.
- If the final payment isn’t received by the deadline, the booking is cancelled, and the spot will be offered to someone else.
- Partial payments will be handled with a reminder e-mail and an invoice to pay for the rest of the payment no later than two weeks before the final payment.
In case of a cancellation by Morten Albek, you will receive a full refund of the workshop payment. Morten Albek do not take any responsibility for hotel or transport costs or delays. Cancellations will only happen due to serious illness or accidents.
Note: Some workshops may require full payment at the time of booking.
