- TorvehallerneKBH (by Nørreport): easy access, coffee, and covered space for information, camera setup, and talk before we walk.
- Nyhavn classic canal, colour, wooden ships and light for interesting street life.
What you’ll learn (all on the street)
- Simple camera setup for fast, consistent files.
- Light, composition & timing in narrow lanes, on bridges, and along the harbour.
- People‑and‑place: candid approaches during festivals and busy nightlife.
- Short micro‑reviews each afternoon so lessons stick.
Day‑by‑day plan and meeting place
Day 1 — Nørrebro texture → city lakes
Briefing at Torvehallerne (Nørreport Metro Station)
Meeting address: Frederiksborggade 21, 1362 København. Go to MAP
We lock in exposure/AF, a lightweight lens strategy, and safety/etiquette for festival nights for those who want to add the evening.
Work flow, layers and gestures on Copenhagen’s busiest bike route and favourite summer hang‑out bridge—clean silhouettes against water, benches, and railings on the sunny side. Multicultural details across Red Square / Black Market / Green Park—a world‑objects park shaped by BIG + Superflex + Topotek1. Perfect for wide‑angle geometry and story fragments.
Exercises around Strøget side‑streets or canals to practise “work the scene” sequencing.
Day 2 — Harbour light: Nyhavn → Christianshavn → Refshaleøen
We meet at a Café named “Mormors”. Address: Bredgade 45, 1260 Copenhagen.

Nyhavn
Pastel townhouses and historic ships; work reflections, leading lines and quiet moments along the canal.
Christianshavn canals & side streets
Bridges, bikes, and soft water light—layered people‑and‑place. Refshaleøen & Reffen street‑food market (lunch + candids)
Industrial backdrop, containers, and global food stalls; Reffen is Northern Europe’s largest street‑food market, typically open through the summer season. Great for low‑profile portrait sets and street action. Harbourfront / Amalienborg axis or Opera viewpoints.
Long tele for compressed silhouettes, or wide‑angle for scale; we close with a final on‑the‑street micro‑review.
If it’s Jazz Festival week: we’ll weave in open‑air sets (e.g., city squares, harbour pop‑ups) to work rhythm, hands, and crowd timing—your daily route includes a check of the official schedule/app.
